The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on My Weightloss Journey
I am an early adopter of all things AI and so it is only natural that I use it to help me with my weightloss journey. Read more.
AI in 2026 as a religious war?
A lot of folks condemn Artificial Intelligence and all things AI as wasteful, unnecessary or even “dumbing down” people instead of seeing the enormous potential it offers in every day life.
AI gets demonized or overhyped across the board with avid flame wars and endless online discussions as well as a lot of misinformation, misguided fervor etc.
My take on the matter: I’m accepting AI into my life since it is the next logical evolutionary step after broad implementation and acceptance of the internet in our day-to-day business and private lives.
AI won’t go away - so better get used to it and use it to your max advantage.
My Claude Cowork Workspace setup
I use a pretty nifty setup in Claude’s Cowork tool called “Cowork OS” or “Cowork Workstations”, coined by Youtuber Jeff Su (sign up for his free course and check out the video here - it pays off. No affiliation though!)
The personal workstation
With the workstation spawn skill I created a workstation for the whole Mounjaro journey thing, told it the basic parameters and started discussing and researching all things Mounjaro with it:
- the basics about MJ
- what the differences to other weightloss drugs like Wegovy or Ozempic are
- health indications, risks etc.
- potential side effects
- dosage instructions
- legal situation
- how to acquire a weightloss medication in Spain
- etc etc
From this, a pretty clear picture arose and I told Cowork to memorize all important things and set up a daily reminder for me to check in.
My go-to assistant
I use Cowork on a daily basis for a plethora of tasks (business and private), personal coaching, research and whatnot. So it is only natural that my Cowork setup for my Mounjaro journey is a living system that gets constantly revisited, fed with new info, learning, insights and metrics - all under the premise of maximum data privacy of course. But there always are certain tradeoffs, so you need to decide for yourself if you are willing to trust Claude / Anthropic with your data and how far you want to go.
Alternatives
Claude is no hard “requirement” for any AI work in this field. You can basically use ChatGPT, Gemini or use OpenClaw or any of the other tools. The only thing I’d recommend is to stick with a tool that offers at least a certain amount of privacy control and to pay attention what you share (e.g. medical data etc.) - proceed at your discretion!
Use Cases
I use Cowork OS for a lot of stuff but where it really shines:
- food recommendations (what to eat, what to skip on Mounjaro)
- quick macro calculation (e.g. rough estimates for certain foods)
- analysis of progress and metrics
- planning & strategy
- accountability / sparring
AI is also very useful for calculations, e.g. if you want to calculate your:
- TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure)
- BMR (Basal metabolic rate)
- BMI (body mass index)
- Bodyfat (rough estimate though!)
Just use it and see what sticks
Don’t overthink, just jump in, fire up an AI tool that feels comfortable for you and let it give you some insights, research etc. Specify your specific situation and parameters and see what it comes up with.
Also make sure to not hold back on any existing conditions you have, your previous successes and losses and what worked and didn’t - the more info you provide, the better results you’ll receive.
